What size, type, of scooter can you drive with just a regular drivers license? Do you need to wear a helmut?

I believe that in every state you must have a motorcycle license to ride any kind of scooter or motorcycle. Any state that requires you to wear a helmet on a motorcycle also requires it for a scooter.

If the scooter is 50cc or less they are legally considered motorized bicycles or mopeds, and do not require a special motorcycle license, or in some states do not require a license at all.

Check with your states' DMV. Go to google, and put your stste in there followed by DMV. It will be the first or second hit.

i dont think you need a lisence to drive a scooter... or are you talking about gas powered ones..?
