What size altanator would I need to run a 1500 rms amp?

Im installing 3 jbl 10's that run a 400 rms x 3 (1200). I want to run the on a jbl gto14001 which is 1500 rms. I wanted to know how many amp should my alternator be in order to run the amp and the rest off the electronic in mi car (in dash monitor,a/c etc).

add up the fuses on the amp. your alternater should be more then that.

Back in the "olden days" people that ran CB radios over 1,000 watts, used to hang an extra alternator that was rated at 100 amps, and hook it up to a 2nd battery that ran parallel to the original electrical system.
