  1. One that fits him.

  2. I'll tell you what the bike shop told my dad when I was a kid. Find a bike and sit him on the bike. Have him put both feet on the ground. Because he's growing, you want his toes on both feet to  touch the ground, but not flat footed. He needs to be able to touch enough to have good control of the bike. Second, have him stand in front of the seat. The metal bar of the bike MUST be below his "manly" area to prevent an injury if he slides forward with a quick stop. Good luck!

  3. a bike should fit a child properly.  their feet should be able to sit on the ground when they are sitting on the seat. at five I would guess he may need a bike with 16- 20 inch tires depending upon his height.

  4. Get a bike that he can sit on with his tip toes touching the ground. Make sure the seat and handle bars are adjustable as he will grow and the original adjustments will not work.
