  1. It depends on your height, weight, experience and especially riding style - a board doesn't really care how tall you are. That "to the chin" is just a rough guess that doesn't work for most people.

Use a snowboard size calculator which will also give you some suggestions on the kind of board that would be right for you

The brands that I would recommend (Burton is not one of them):

Freestyle - Rome, K2, Lib Tech, Gnu

    Freeride - Ride, K2, Nitro

    Good Luck

  2. I am 5' 7" and ride a 156 at the resort and a 165 in the backcountry or on deep powder days.

You may want to throw your weight and experience into the equation too. Those are factors to consider.

    Maybe look into a 154.

  3. I think it sounds ok for you. Your weight also factors into the decision. Your only a couple inches shorter than me and i rode a 155 last time when i was at the resort (last season)

If you can, go check out the snowboard in person and see how long it is. Make it stand up and see if it falls somewhere between your chin and nose (general rule: length of the board should be between the chin and nose for the best results and if you want to have more control, go with the ones that are closer to your chin)
