What size cast nets are legal for use in CA freshwater?

Question

I have the dfg book and there is no information about cast nets. I emailed DFG about 2 weeks ago with no response. I have asked stores that sell them and have had all different answers, from any size to only 3 ft is legal to illegal. I would like to see what the majority says, but I have this friday off and will try to get to a ranger station to ask, thanks.

i dont think you allowed to use them in fresh water. call the gaming commission and ask

you might have the wrong book they publish a few??? the way I understand it has been for twenty plus years is:
