What size figure skate would I be?

My shoe size is 7 (women's), so what size figure skate would I be? Also, what size blade?

The blade is what I'm really confused about (you buy it seperate). It has sized 8.25 - 12.

Boot sizes 4 - 10, including half sizes.

Thanks!

  1. DONT ask us, go and get your feet messured at a shop. We are all diffrent, have diffrent sizes, prefer them to fit diffrently, so you wont get 2 answers the same. Go to your pro shop and buy skates from there they recomend. Other wise you will have feet problems.

  2. You should go to the pro shop and get your feet measured for a boot and blade. Usually, they'll have a book of used skates that are still good that I would recommend to beginners.

  3. I'm not sure how you do all the measurement, (I get my skates with the blade attached)  but I know you should get professionally fitted.  You want the best out of the skates. The letters tell you the width of the skate.  AA is the slimmest and D is the widest.  Sometimes skates will be the same size or smaller/larger than your shoe size.  I wear a 41/2 in tennis shoes and a 4B in skates, which is about the same.  Try on different sizes and see what fits you the best.  Consider your level and good luck!

  4. okay. i cant really tell you what size you are. you have to be measured, and different brands have different sizing.

blades: those blade sizes are in inches. so the inches on your boot will also have to be measured.

7aa 7a 7b etc, are all width sizes.

your best bet is to try them on at a pro shop or have them shipped and try them on or send them back. you dont want to buy skates that dont fit right do you?

also based on your level you need to get the right pair of boots and blades. if you are a beginner skater, high level boots arent going to make you a michelle kwan. actually they will hurt your skating more than help.

  5. I would not suggest even thinking about buying online until you get your feet measured at a pro shop. If you can buy skates at a pro shop that would be optimal. They would be able to tell you what boot and blade size you need. The blade is usually 1/4" smaller than the length of the boot.

The letters AA, A, B, C, D... is how they measure width. AA being the narrowest and D being the widest.
