I am 6'2 140-150 pounds and have been using a 7'6 funboard for three summers now. i have no problem getting up or anything and i feel i need to get a board that i can maneaveur and handle a little better. i surf in south jersey everyday and the waves are around head high-pretty small but break pretty roughly sometimes .i've been looking into 6'6 and 6'8 retro fish boards with around 22'' width and 2 1/2'' thickness. i feel i should get it a little thicker though. Would this be a good board for me? Please help. Thanks!!!!

  1. I agree with them man, nock the size down a couple of inches from whatever length of shortboard you ride(or would ride), and MR retro fish, can't beat it.

    Good luck bro

  2. The great thing about a fish is you can go a little shorter and because of the width and stuff, you can still catch waves with relative ease.  This would be a fine length, but don't be afraid to even go a LITTLE shorter with it if you wish.

  3. Hi Matt. I've been surfing for around 30 years now and I've had a total of 20 surfboards. Ten of them have been fishes. I'd have too say at 6'2" a perfect fish for you just may be from 6"5" to 6'7"/ roundish nose and 17" tail. Im 6' 215 lbs. and bro I can only say that when Im on my Mark Richards fish people watch me shred.............Good Luck  bro
