We're looking at buying an upright freezer. We're currently pricing out freezers between 14.1 and 20.1 cubic feet (cu ft). It will need to hold 1-2 deer, 1 pig, and .25 cow meat, and possibly some chicken. Anyone have a clue as to aprox size we should be looking at?

  1. With that much meat, you better get the big one. I prefer the chest type with sliding baskets since the cold air escapes whenever you open the door and are searching for whatever it is you want. A hint is to make a list to hang on the door with the location of all meat on it to lessen the amount of time the door is open. Cross off the item when you remove it.

  2. just get a apartment size freezer
