What size hook should i use with a grasshopper?

Well, firstly you need to use a light wire hook, anything too heavy and it will prevent the action of the bait from looking realistic, i think about a size 6 hook should work, even a size 1 or 2 depending if its a big one.

i use a size 14 hook. u can catch a big fish on a small hook and u dont want the fish to see it. hook it right behind the plate on its back and it will stay alive. good luck fishin : )

if its 1/2 inch hopper, go with size 10 hook.  

if its a big hopper over 1", size 8 or 6
