Am wanting information on what size hydraulic motor I would need if converting a car to hydraulic run.

  1. When I was going to engineering school at the University of Minnesota in the late 70's our group built a hydraulic regen car for competition. You may want to check with them as they may have past history on this car. They are also doing research on new versions of hydraulic cars.

  3. if you are converting to electric you can use the cars trans it has in it automatic is hydraulic or manuel shift can both be used just need a machinist and a bunch of hours to fit the motor and battery's a straight hydraulic pump cant give you enough speed to drive the car on the road it would move very slowly there are meant to move tractors hydraulic rams made for power moving very heavy objects
