  1. a big glove, usually a 13 inch would be very good to use.

    the bigger, the better.

  2. Well, softball gloves are the same as baseball gloves, except bigger. So outfield gloves would have bigger pockets because like 90 percent of the time you catch pop flies, unless you have a horrible infield. But the pocket would probably be the size of the ball then add like 1-2 more inches to each side. The actual size of the glove won't matter because that deals with the size of your hand. But it will be longer have have a deeper pocket that others. But make sure you don't get a "mitt"! Mitts are for catchers and first basemen and have no fingers. As an outfielder you don't want that. To be able to know and understand what glove you're looking at, here are the others. Catchers mitts- usually fingerless, sometimes not. Thick padding for protection of hand. Small pocket for easy transfer from glove to hand. Measured in circumference instead of length. First baseman's glove-thin but stiff padding around the circumference and little padding around finger and palms. Infielders glove- used by second basemen, shortstop, third basemen, and pitchers. Short and small pocket for easy transfer from glove to hand. Usually light. As for what brand of glove to buy, my personal choice is an Easton. Very light and durable. Very very good brand.
