I just bought a new english saddle that didn't come with leathers or irons. I am 62" tall and I need to know what lenght I need to buy. Also if anyone knows where I can buy matching leathers for a Maycraft saddle please tell me! Thanks

  1. For a Jumping saddle, 54" leathers should work for you.

At smartpak equine they have m.tolouse leathers for jumping and dressage saddles for around $80. they're really nice and nylon lined and come in 3 colors for jumping saddles. I have the dressage ones and they are nicer than bates leathers and 20 bucks cheaper.

  2. The average jumping saddle leathers are 54'' Those would be fine.. You could also get the children size... With either one you go with I would have a leather punch around so you can have just the right fit.

  3. Most standard stuirrup leathers are 54" which would be fine for you. However, some people prefer to buy child's leathers so they don't have as much "leftover" leather.

  4. 54 inch is a good standard length - should leave enough over so that you can put the tail end in the keeper on your saddle instead of it flopping about and being annoying.
