What size of blade for ears on my horse?

i am cliping his ears today and wanted to know what others thought i should use?

my horse is a calm Tb

hunter/jumper

17.2 hh and maybe higher.

a size 10 or a 30?

  1. I suggest a size 30.

  2. Well for a show clip I use a 40 for ears, bridlepath, nose and around eyes a 30 for blending in face a 15 for trimming the "V' shape in the forehead, 10 on the legs.

  3. 30's work but 40's are best the day before the show for ears, etc.  I tend to "scalp" 'em a couple of weeks before a show then to a touch up.
