it is late 80's model, and i need a prop that will give me plenty of wakeboarding power, along with allowing me to pull a skiier occasionally. is there an all around prop. or one that is slightly better for wakeboarding?

  1. You can ask 100 people this question but the best answer is from MasterCraft themselves.  Contact them.

  2. There are too many variables in proping a boat. Weight, Hull design, Horsepower. just to name a few but if you want very good low end or "out of the hole" power a lower pitch is the way to go they allow more slip and the engine gets in the power range faster. While a high pitch prop will lug out of the hole it will increase your top end.talk to a service shop they have "prop calculators" to help decide

  3. This takes a bit of research.  You need to know the size of the boat, size of the engine, type if boat, and then decide what you want the performance level to be.  Call a master craft dealer.  They will be able to tell you instantly.  Other wise look on line for any prop manufacturer to figure out the best pitch.

  4. Take the prop you have down size 1 pitch and add some more cup>That will give you a better hole shot and will keep the top end very close to the same>
