I'm about 6 feet tall and 14, so I might grow a little.

And is this a worthy bike: http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/motobecane/lechamp08.htm?

Thanks

  1. I'm in the same place my friend. but almost 15.  you would want a 26 or 27 inch bike. I ride a 26. but there's not much difference. and the bike in your link is only 20 speed. I would highly recommend a 27 speed for roadbikes. Most mountain bikes are 21 speed. So you would have some smaller people outrunning you. Good luck,

  2. just ignore john s.  he obviously doesn't have much experience with bikes.  any decent road bike will have 700 cm wheels and tires and the size you are looking for is the FRAME size.  I am 5'11" and a 58cm frame is perfect for me.  you are already taller and growing.  i have a friend who is 6'2" or 6'3" and he rides a 62 cm.  if your budget is really $1200, i'd suggest you go to a bike shop to get a good fit and stay away from the mail order brand.
