What size should I cut shelves for a C&C cage?

I made my own 2x4 C&C cage and need to cat proof it. Since I didn't buy the kit I didn't get anything on ct proofing it, telling me what size to cut the shelves to put on top. If anybody bought a 2x4 kit and has the instructions for cat proofing it, could you please tell me what sizes to cut the shelves?

You just need to measure the size of the top of your cage. Whatever that is, cut it to that size (actually, a bit bigger so it will rest on top) and connect with zip ties
