What size should my in-line amp fuse be?

I'll be running a 4-gauge power that is connected to a 760 watt amp that needs to push two subs at 150 rms each. I need a direct answer please!

  1. at least 10 amps more then your amp is fused at and for 4 gauge you can go up to about 125 amps or so. Go smaller than your amp and you blow fuses. If you go higher then 125 then your risking the power wire burning up in smoke


  2. it should be no less than 10 amps less than the total amount of fuses on your amps. look at your amps fuses and add the numbers up and get a in line fuse that is equal too or as close as you can get it. if your amps have a total of 80 amps worth of fuses the you can get an 80 or 100 amp in line fuse. but if your amps are lets say 110 total then get either 100 or 150. you just dont want to go too much over and you really dont wanna go more than 10 under

  3. a 80 amp fuse comes with most 4 guage wiring kits....i have 0 guage in my car but my girl has 4 guage and we have a 80 amp fuse and it works just fine
