What size skis to get??????????????

im 5'9'' im 13 so im still growing alot im getting the line anthems what size should i get the 161cm or the 171cm theres nothing inbetween please help!!!!!!!

You do not give your ability which is more of a factor now than your size. If you will need these for 3 years, then go for the longer ski. The shorter one may be just right for this season, but as you grow in size and ability, you will need the extra 4 inches.  This amount may bother you the first 2 days but not after that.  

Get your boots fit properly and check for cants and ramp.  Have fun.

With out your weight it's a bit hard to know, but based on your height and your age I'd say the 171.  The Anthem is a rad ski, but remember it's a true twin tip ski which means it's tip and tail are the same width.  This makes it rad for the park.  It will spin like a top if you mount it at center.  You should also check out the limited edition graphic that they just released.  You should check out www.geargenius.com and go to the ski section (http://www.geargenius.com/cc/48/cm/custo... those guys have all kinds of tips for where to mount stuff and where to get skis at really good deals.  Check them out

depending on how you ski it would be 171 or 178. if you ski fast and aggresivley and ski lots of powder. 161 is out of question that is 6 inches to short. INCHES

When you snap in to a pair of skies they almost only recognize your weight.  If you are on the light side go with the 161s and if you are a little more heavy set, go with the 171s.  For instance I am 5'11" and 135lbs. and I don't like skies that are longer than 160cm.  In my opinion it is more about personal preference, but if you are not all that experienced, then definitely go with the 161s, you will be kicking yourself if you get the 171s.  If you are rather experienced or heavy-set, then the 171s would probably be safe.

I would say 171 but for me, i ski 161. Im 5'8 and for me i find 161 is best for me. Sometimes it comes down to personal preference when choosing a ski size for park skis. It is a tad more difficult to stomp tricks but, i find im more agile on a short ski. I can spin and grind better.
