I'm about 5'6 and weigh 120lbs. I like to ride in the parks but also like to freeride.

  1. The simple rule of thumb for snowboard length is to have it come up fro the floor to between your chin and nose.  For a more freestyle size just under your chin is also good.  For more of a freeride board, just under your nose is good.  There are other factors like your weight.  The rule of thumb is designed for "average" weight.  If you are heavier than average you can ride a slightly longer board - lighter means a shorter board.  Also, you will want to consider the amount of flex the board has - soft for park, medium for generic freestyle, and stiffer for faster free riding.  Good luck and have fun picking your new board!

  2. For an all mountain board which is an all round board which is good for park and freeriding, the size you would need based on your height, weight and style of riding would be around a 148, Good luck.

  3. I'm actually the same hight and weight as you. I ride a size149 but I mostly do street handrails and sometimes park. I would recommend getting like a 150 for freeride.

  4. your board standing tall in front of you should fall between your nose and chin
