Question:

What size snowboard should i get?

I am 5'8" and 125 lbs (skinny i know)

I have heard that weight is a main factor, but height is a more important factor

Would anyone suggest an appropriate size?

  1. Use one of these calculators and go with what it says, go a little shorter if you want to be able to do more tricks freestyle(pipe,rails, boxes), if freeride (all mountain, deep powder, back country) is your thing go a bit longer. With yoru height and weight I would recommend between a 152 and a 160.

  2. actually i am afraid you have it backwards. weight is the number one factor in sizing a board. height really has nothing to do with it. if you go into a shop and they measure a board by putting it to your chin... just walk out. you already know more than them. At your weight you are probably good in the 150-153 range. you could go a little smaller or longer but that is about the right range for all-mountain riding. Good Luck buddy.

  3. im the same size and i ride a 147 ride kink and a 152 K2 World Wide Weapon. it also depends on your shoe size, because if you have a size 11 boot your dogs are gonna hangout on a shorter board.
