  1. For your first sport bike... you can go anything 600cc, that is what I advise. You can buy an R6, or Gixxer... but in my opinion I think you would be better off getting a YZF600R, or a Suzuki GSX650F... with either you get the same awsome look of a sport bike....in a little more toned down version, and you will also save over 1000 bucks if you are buying brand new on either bike over its racing version.

The YZF600R would be my choice... its tuned for a little more mid range, and there for is more suitable for the street, and new sport bike riders.

The GSX650...I dont know a whole lot about..its new and Suzukis repplacement for the CannedTuna...ooops, I mean Katana... Everything I have read on it though, I have liked, seems like another great entry level sport bike, the price is right, and it has a VERY nice look to it.

If it were me though, I would look to buy used first, but I like MY BIKE to be MY BIKE...Im not the type who likes seeing 15 of the same bike I am riding everyday. I ride a 97 YZF1000R thunder ace...which  have made my own, I have never seen another one in person.

So maybe you should search the classifieds and find you a late 90's FZR600, one of my all time favorite bikes....you can grab them all day long for under 3 grand, take another grand and make it your own...

Save a little money, and never see you bike cruising behind you on the street. But new...id go with either of the bikes I listed above, you wont be sorry.

Or, you could get an R6 or Gixxer... they are only as dangerous as you are stupid with your right hand while riding it.... just respect the bike...they are capable of cruising around town at low speeds with teh front wheel on the ground, regardless of what some people may say!!!

Good luck, and happy bike shopping!!!!

  2. If you finance a bike you will need full coverage insurance and I have seen the insurance payment be more than the bike payment so I highly recommend a 600cc used sport bike for $3000-4000 and pay cash for it and then you can just buy liability insurance and for me that was around $10 a month for a Ducati but I am 42 w/ a good driving record and good credit.

  3. alright, you've never riden before no dirtbikes or anything. its basicaly the same but faster whitch is where people get in trouble, hurt, killed. im not gonna say dont speed down that straight open rode before slowing down everyone would fly down it.  my first bike was a 750 and it wasnt that bad for me but ive had dirtbikes my entire life a 600 would work out fine for you yamaha suzuki and kawasaki make then just take it easy for a while. i have a Ducati monster s4 insured for 10 grand and its $500 a year, not bad but thers no glass, fire, and some of the otherthings that you would get for a car. hope i helped
