it is time for a new chain on my 2004Yamaha R6. I know i want to change to a smaller sprocket to increase my acceleration but i don't know exactly what size i should use. i don't want to lose all of my top end and I'm not looking for crazy acceleration, i just want more acceleration and mid range. basically who else has a 600 and changed the sprocket? what size did you to how many teeth all that good stuff. also where did you get it? id like to just get a kit with the sprockets and chain to save some cash. thanks

  1. Front sprockets are fairly inexpensive so I'd start with just one tooth less in the front. You can always go one more later if needed. I generally take 3 to the track.
