What size trampoline should I get?

I want to buy a trampoline for my kids. I have 3 kids, 12, 14, and 2, and I don't know what size to get. I basically want the smallest one I can get while still allowing all 3 kids to play on it at once. It will also need a safety enclosure. I have seen 10', 12', and 14'. What is your experience with any of these sizes/number of kids that can have fun playing on it? Also, does anyone know if you can have a safety enclosure AND a cover for the trampoline itself (we get a lot of snow here).

  1. since you have teenagers it caint be too small or the teenagers will hate it cause they wont be able to bounce around on it so the best size with teenagers and pre teens  and little kids would be size 12 or 13 -13 is best- for the 13' u can get an enclouser for 99 dollars at walmart

  2. Most experts advise only allowing one person to bounce at a time for safety. If you still want to allow more than one bouncer at a time you probably ought not to let your 2 year old bounce with the older children because their weight is so different. The older children would have to be VERY CAREFUL not to bounce the light weight 2 year old completely out of control or even off the trampoline.

The larger the trampoline the better if you still want to let several bouncers bounce at a time. I would advise the 14' model. Enclosures are good but the best safety investment is knowledge on correct and safe trampoline usage.

The only trampoline I know of that can allow use of both a cover and an enclosure is the Backyard Pro. However there may be others.

Backyard Pro also offers a much better quality cover than other trampolines offer. It also attaches in such away that it cannot be removed except by the owner. This allows you to use it to prevent unauthorized use by others if you should go on a vacation or trip, etc. Backyard Pro also offers a very good DVD that tells how to use your trampoline correctly and safely. It is much less expensive to buy than an enclosure and will do as much or more to keep your bouncers safe. It will also inform you to make a better buying decision when you buy a trampoline.
