Question:

What size twin tip skis should I ride?

I am buying the K2 PEs but am not sure what size to buy. I still think of ski lenghts in old-school terms (anyone need some 203s?). I am about 5'10" 175lbs. I will spend a lot more time in the east coast bumps, crud, groomers ice and woods than I will in the park - so would longer be better for cruising and carving? Any advice would be appreciated

  1. either the 169 or probley the 174s they are harder to find but definatly worth it i love that ski i have the silencer i wish i had that one though

  2. I'm 5'9" 155 and ride on 179cm Line Prophet 90's. Not real good in the bumps, but will tackle powder, crud, groomers, hardpack and the park.

  3. I'm 13 5'4" and I ride 168cm Rossignol scratch pros I'm really enjoying them but I spend most of my time in the park if I were you I'd probably get at least 180s but it depends if your spending more time in the park you could probably go a little smaller

  4. Probably you should get 170s cuz ur pretty tall

  5. From what you wrote, I'd guess that a 170- 175 would be about right for what you are doing.  I use a "rule of thumb"  old length subtract 25- 30 cm in the new length, then find a pair in that range.

              Hope this helps.  Jim.

  6. The last crusing skis I bought were K2, 210's.  I like long.,stable, FAST crusing skis.  Now for bumps the answer is very different.

As for the all-mountain ski Public Enemy for your weight if you are an average skier get the 164's if you are an advanced skier get the 169's.

If you ski the east coast and not at Park City or in the Rockies get the shorter skis.

    THINK SNOW!
