  1. You need #6awg.this is rated at 105 amps, but alowing for the 300 ft,you will have some voltage drop.

  2. #6 copper @ 300 ft is going to give a 17 volt drop @ 240vac. This could be acceptable, depending on what you doing with it. But, it is over the 5% limit rule, generally applied in to this. If you don't intend to run things with a high current draw, i.e. machinery, compressor, central air, at the same time, you could be ok. If you have any doubt, its only going to cost $75-100 more to go with #4. Remember to run a ground back to the main, the ground can be #10, and isolate the grounds from the neutrals in the sub panel.

If your going underground, I suggest using plastic conduit as insurance against damage.

  3. The voltage drop, even at 300 feet would be minimal, but I would still use #4 AWG, type THHN.

  4. Is it possible to know what you are going to load it with.....otherwise it's not a big deal.............all depends on load. nite

  5. for standard outlets and lights # 6 wire will work....

    lic. gen. contractor

  6. To serve what?

  7. OUCH !  Ur choice #4 or #6.  Better with #4.THH
