  1. Between 5-7 probably.

  2. Honestly, it depends on the brand of skate that you intend to buy.  No two brands have identical sizing so I find it really hard to say.  And, some brands prefer that your foot be measured with the weight on your foot and some prefer to measure with the weight off your foot.  It would be best to go to a reputable skate shop and have them measure your foot.  Also, you could visit manufacturers web sites.  Most sites have a sizing chart with instructions on how to measure your foot and it will tell you what size you are.

  3. There's no one rule to magically know what your skate size is. My best advice is to go to a decent skate shop and have them measure your feet and fit you for skates themselves (there are many factors that go into a skate that fits you, including little things that you hardly ever think about like how rounded your heel is as well).

  4. This will depend on the brand, model, and type of skate you buy. You will need to go to your local pro shop and they will be able to assist you in selecting the proper fit.

  5. The size of your skate is usually about one size smaller than your regular show size.

But, as with all shoes, it depends on the brand.

Once you get to the store or rink (or where ever you are buying/renting your skates), don't be afraid to try on different sizes to see which one really fits you, as my answer is only an estimate. :)

My Riedel Skates are size 7 wide. I normally wear an 8 or 8.5

    Good luck with your skating!

  6. it varies with the brand of the skates.
