  1. Tubs?

    Do you mean cages?

Sorry I don't exactly know what tubs are/what they are for

edit- well you should really keep rats in cages, but even though they don't grow to cat size(thats wild rats) they can grow to about 10 inches

  2. rats get very, very big. most the size of a small cat.

    _____

    _____

that, mayb? I couldn't do how big it should be sideways on this thing. but from the top " _ " to the bottom " _ " that's how WIDE it should be. NOT how long, how WIDE. and make sure it's that big all ways in the circle. it seems real big, but you don'ttt wat your rat getting stuck in one and dying. tubes aren't very good for rats, but i you do get one, make sure it's huge, like that. bigger then a ferrets tube, because they're always skinny.

probably best is a chinchilla tube. that'll fit a few.

  3. Why do you want to put your rats in tupperware exactly? Oh, and I think the cat sized rats your thinking of Alisha, are sewer rats. Most pet rats do not get as big as cats, maybe a cat that hasnt left kittenhood...

  4. Well hopefully you put panels of mesh in your rubbermaid tubs like I do. I actually think they are cheaper and better made cages. If you make sure they are well ventilated! :) Measure the tubs you are looking at and then go here: http://www.rattycorner.com/odds/calc.sht...

It will tell you how much space they will need. PLEASE, though, do your research before you breed!!! It is not easy to find homes for the babies, and they can have up to 20! I really recommend that you think this through before you breed!
