and good math and writing skills

The primary skills are good physical condition/strength and nerves of steel-

probaly need basic English and Math skills-

If you are hired as a fire fighter-they will send you to teh academy to learn  teh skills you need

You have to be able to work as a team you have to be there when your coworkers rely on you. That is a big part of the training
