  1. A cna is basically taking physical care of someone-positioning, changing sheets, dressing, turning over, feeding, medication administartion, mobily assistance, hygiene

  2. Check out your local Community College they usually offer information on obtaining a license or certificate as a nursing assistant and offer other training programs in human services and education to be able to work in this area. Also check your areas Health and Human services for Information to where as you might contact your local Community Service Center for opportunities as a provider/caregiver and or a community integrator.  Your community college may offer an Associates or Bachelors in Human Services  that will possible help in your rate of pay.  Plus it will also open up many other opportunities for you.  Great way to start. You can also try Home care agencies in your area to find out what their requirements are  Most states now want you to be certified and or licensed and base pay begins anywhere from 8 to ten dollars an hour. I was a certified assistant for many years and it was one of the best jobs I ever had.   You have so many options available such as nursing homes, hospitals home health, and private duty . Best of Luck

  3. I got my CNA certification at a local nursing home, so I'd recommend checking nursing homes in your area for classes.
