What skills should a good shooting guard have?

shooting passing and dribbling because most of the time point guard will pass it to the shooting guard then the shooting guard passes it to the post or shoots it

Shoot the ball better than anyone else and find ways to get open and away from good defenders.  You will have to learn how to come off screens ready to shoot and you will need a quick release, fundamentally, you need to be sound.  Keep your feet under you and be very efficient with your shot fakes.  Think of players like Chris Mullin and Larry Bird, who were not exceptionally quick, but found crafty ways to get open for their shots.  Good luck.  I hope you make the school team.
