Question:

What skim board should i buy?

I weigh 140 pounds and i want to have a board i can skim along the sand as well as over the small waves as they hit the shore. i have a wood morey board right now which is good for sand skimming but i cant go on the waves or do any tricks while sand skimming, which i would like to do. im looking for one that is new and less than $150

  1. Zap skimboards are good, but having ridden both I personally prefer Victoria skimboards.

    Try a "Foamie" model, size medium -- about 48 inches long. It's the entry level foam board, which would be what you are looking for to start being able to do tricks and get out to the waves.

    It's right in your price range too, about $150. Check out vicskim.com.

    It would be a huge step up from a wood board, way faster. Don't break your neck!

  3. I'd go with a Victoria too (Local bias). They're bound to have a model that will match your situation.
