What sm/med 4 x 4 vehicle /SUV should I buy? I need the best SUSPENSION available for rough roads.

A few suggestions I have been given: JEEP Patriot, Subaru Legacy, ...Please help me find the best vehicle for my buy. I need to stay under $20,000 if possible. I will keep this vehicle for several years.

  1. The ford escape has independent suspension starting out at a little under 20,000 for 2008 escape and for used probably get cheaper and handle really good off road.


  2. i would say a subaru legacy...not bad gas mileage and awd...and they usually sit a little higher off the ground so rough roads shouldnt be a problem
