What small pet smells the least?

im thinking about getting a small pet like a hamster or something. or a cat.... which animal do u think smells the least?

probably snakes/reptiles or aracnids would be the least smelly pets, however some people dont enjoy their company. Degu's are relatively odourless, theyre kind of cheap, easy to care fore, are pocket sized and are more active then hamsters. rabbits REAK. cats themselves dont smell bad, but you need to keep ontop of changing the litter all the time if you don't want any smells, as after a few days, the litterbox will smell like pee, and it'll reak of c**p after every time you cat does its business. Fish are fantastic for not smelling, but handling them isnt an option like with the other pets, unless you have a friendly crab like mine ; ) I love all animals, my house is a mad zoo of assorted beasts. I think a cat would be good if you can handle litterbox duty. they all have indiviual personalities so find the right one for you and your home. they make better companions then dogs, and are nowhere near the mainenence of a dog.

Cats smell the least IF you keep their box clean.  This means DAILY scooping the litter, or better yet, get an automatic cat box like a Littermaid.  They are pricey up front ($150-200), but I've had one for years, and it long ago paid for itself in terms of saving money on cat litter, which isn't cheap at all.  It works; people don't even know I have a cat when they come in my home.

i say hairless rat, that would be cool.....

gerbil.  They're desert critters, so have little urine and dry f***s.

And lots of personality.

They need a similar diet and care to hamsters.
