Ive never had a actual pet snake but im sure I can take care of them. so dont only say corn snake cause its easy to take care of. Im thinking between, normal ball python, blizzard corn, and reverse okeetee corn.

I also want to eventually get a red tail boa or an anery boa, but im not sure what I like better yet. (or prices)

I was also wondering how to adjust the tempature in the tank and how often I should check to make sure its in the right area. (if i use lights) Nothings for sure yet cause i have to convince my mom to let me get one... my dad doesnt care but my moms crazy. she keeps comming up with reasons i cant get it. Now its because "They probably smell" but what ever.... im still gonna get them EVENTUALLY

  1. I would definitely recommend the red tailed boa, out of those choices.

Red tails are one of the most naturally tame snakes in existence, and with regular, gentle handling, should remain calm throughout their lifetime.

Smaller snakes, like a corn snake, while easy to care for, have proven to be more easily agitated, and are less satisfying as far as pets go, at least in my experience.

Many people like ball pythons, however pythons tend to be a little more aggressive than boas.

When it comes to temperature, you need to adjust depending upon the snake. Use a light on one end of the enclosure, and keep the other side cool, without a light.

Let your mom know that snakes are relatively easy animals, as they do not need daily feeding, nor do they require walking, brushing, smelly cleanup, and so on.

  2. any corn is good

  3. rosy boa

  4. no red tail boa's yet, you need more expreiece before a red tail, the best ever beginner snake is a ball python, they get about 4 1/2 feet and can get pretty fat, they are very docile, you could probly find one with some stuff for it (cage, ect.) for about $150

  6. a blizzard corn and reverse okeetee corn are types of corn snake skin patterns.

maybe you should do a little more research before you purchase one.

  7. rainbow python or red tail boa are great.  as far as temp control make sure you have a large aquarium with a small heat lamp on one end over a rock . the other side have a reasonable size water dish . they can regulate their temps this way i used to own both.

  8. King snakes are great pets.  Easy to take care of and very awesome snake to have.
