  1. We've got about 60 species of snake here in Florida depending on which field guide you pick up, so any color you pick for your lures will probably work. All I really know is I don't think I've ever seen anything in nature colored like my favorite Senkos, and they work wonders on a regular basis.

(might also want to post this in fishing if you haven't already.)

  2. Small Burrowing Snakes:

    Crowned Snake

    Earth Snake

    Brown Snake

    RedBelly SNake

    Medium Bodied:

    Mud Snake

    Rainbow Snake

    Black Swamp Snake

    Queen/Crayfish Snake

    Heavy Bodied:

    Eastern Indigo

    Hognose Snake

    Pine Snake

    Southern Water Snake

    Green Water Snake

    Brown Water Snake

    Plain-Bellied Water Snake

    Northern Water Snake

    Mangrove Bellied Snake

    Cottonmouth

    Copperhead

    Pigmy Rattle

    Timber Rattle

    Eastern Diamondback Rattle

    Slenders:

    Rough Green Snake

    Coachwhip

    Racer

    Pine Woods Snake

    Scarlet Snake

    Scarlet King Snake

    Coral Snake

    Ribbon Snake

    Ringneck Snake

    Mole Kingsnake

    Common Kingsnake

    Garter Snake

    Corn Snake

    Rat Snake

    Short Tailed

There's a lot.  Deciding on which color bait to use will be up to you.
