What snowboard length is good for a 12 year old?

i am 12 years old and average height and saving up for a new board (sort of) and just trying to ask a more experienced rider than me

It depends on your ability level and what type of riding you like to do.  I know adults who ride boards in the 140's because they like to ride park and pipe exclusively.  I ride a 157, 159 or 161 and prefer all mountain riding.  (because I'm old and chicken)

If I were to generalize I'd say you should be on a board somewhere between 147-155cm.

it depends on your height and weight.  if you go to ridesnowboards.com, there is a certain area where you can enter your height, weight, and type of riding, and it will tell you what size you should use and gives you recommended boards based on the info given.  here is the link:  http://ridesnowboards.com/boardfinder/

but thats just for ride snowboards, but the size you get from there can be applied to any other snowboard (though some boards may not come in your size)

Probably something around 145, hard to know without knowing your height.  Ask someone at a store that sells them.
