  1. I'm about 5'2 115 pounds, I ride a 140, its about perfect size for me, and I ride all park, if I rode mountain, woods/powder I'd probably ride about a 144, so for your size I would say, 144 the short end for riding park and such, and about a 149 max for the taller end. Another easy way to determine it is to go to a snowboard shop and compare sizes up to you, around your chin in height or slightly lower is good for park riding, up to your nose in height is better for freeriding/powder and such.

I recommend Rome Snowboards, I've ridden for them for 2 years, and never had a problem, light, flexable, awesome boards. Check them out! And I also recommend staying away from Burton, They might be popular but that certainally does not make them the best. They do have problems, I vouch for that! Take care, hope this helped..

  2. Anything between 149 and 155 is absolutely fine.

If you like to ride park stay on the lower end, If you like to ride the slopes[family trail] stay on the hire end.

  3. I'm actually only half an inch taller &10 pounds heavier &my size is a 146,  but this year I'm buying a size 147 board just in case I grow taller. Also I agree with the person above me, Rome's my favorite company right now, that &Ride. Ride's really good with bindings(just in case you decide to buy bindings too) She's also right about Burton. So here's a link, to figure out exactly your snowboard size -

Type in all the information. Not only will they tell you your approximate size, but it'll also give you a lot of recommended snowboards specifically for you.

    Hope that's helpful;]

  4. 145- 149. no bigger or you wont be able to turn very well, and no smaller, or you will lose your balance and it is very unsafe

  5. I am 125lbs and 5'6 and ride a 148. I would stick with anything from a 144-148 as you are pretty light and a beginner. If you get a board that is too long it might be difficult at first and can discourage you.

Don't get a board from an unknown small name company since you don't really know much about boards yet, there are some really bad boards out there (I've had one) so stick to the big names for now. And the only bad thing about Burton is the price, not the quality (in response to someone above's post)
