What soap operas are good that I should start watching?

Question

I usually watch NBC soaps, like Passions, Sunset Beach (which are both over), and currently Days of Our Lives. Are there better soaps out there? I don't know which ones are good..like Y&R, All My Children, As the World Turns, Bold and Beautiful? Please suggest soaps you think I would like from the ones I like right now.

Watch Eastenders but you really need to watch all of them to see what you like.  Just watch them once

I used to watch All my Children but now it's Y&R and it's been #1 lots of times so I think it's the best.

Eastenders! UK on BBC1 Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri  - loads of old ones on Gold channel. Started early 80's - it's good!!

I would start watching Y&R if you want some Young people. Well like Y&R has a mixture of old, Middle aged, and young.

Y&r is good. They have a lot of young people on the show. Also, good storylines. It won't take too long to find out who is related to who.

In my opinion General Hospital is the best one to watch.  It's the only one I watch.

General hospital is the best.  I'm an ABC girl so you can't go wrong in my opinion with GH, All my Children, and One Life to Live.  Since I have Soapnet I also watch Young and the Restless, but Victor is getting old when are they going to have more storylines than him fighting with his family.  since you like DOOL then you know what I mean about old story lines, like the Stefano thing...doesn't that get old to you!

General Hospital and One Life to Live (both on ABC). Can't go wrong with either of these soaps...By the way, if you start watching General Hospital, you will instantly fall in love with the character of Sonny. The actor is drop dead gorgeous and the character has many deep layers to him.

One Life To Live: weekdays on ABC at 2pm and on Soap net at 9pm

General Hospital: weekdays on ABC at 3pm and on Soap net at 10pm

I watch these and I love them.
