What software allows receive Landline incoming calls using computer modem & headset?

I'm not thinking of Skype/Vonage type of software. Plug regular landline phone cable to the computer modem & be able use computer as regular phone.

1) Be sure you have a Voice Modem, not just a data or data + FAX modem.

2) Are you using Windows XP? You could try the built-in Phone Dialer that comes with XP: Go to Start->Run and type "dialer.exe" in the dialog (without the quotes) or find it under "C:\Program Files\Windows NT\dialer.exe"

Other than that, and assuming Windows, I could only find commercial solutions for you:

But start with the free XP one if you have it, if that doesn't work then I doubt one of the commercial solutions will help you either.
