  1. you can go to apple.com and they give you directions on how to transport songs to another computer

  2. just install itunes on your new computer,

connect your ipod and drag the songs into the library.

  3. As said, iTunes will do the trick most of the time...just be careful not to sync a new library up with it and erase everything on it.

Personally, I only use iTunes on my Mac...on my PC, I use WinAmp for nearly all of my iPod dealings, except when it comes to burning songs purchased from the itunes store, which, of course, only iTunes can do.

  4. The iTunes application will allow you to sync your iPod media to it. You can authorize up to five computers to copy your iTunes purchases, or copy any other media you synced to your iPod from an iTunes library. This is the only method of copying the music off your iPod onto your computer. Once you have it on your computer you can then copy the music files elsewhere on your system, and use converter applications to covert into another format, lets say the Windows Media Player format. If you need an application to do this try these:

SUPER © Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer which you can obtain by clicking the blue letters of the name about a third of the way down the page at this link:

    http://www.overclockers.com/index.php?op...

Now, SUPER may not work properly with Vista. I am not sure if the vendor created a Vista version yet, but check it out. If you have XP you are good to go. If you do have Vista try one of these converters:

    http://www.videora.com/

It is the Videora Converter, not the bittorent at the top of the page.

Good luck and have a nice day.
