What solutions can you think of for issues like unemployment rate & high gas prices?

African oil palm is a renewable sustainable resource, this is just one many solutions. Unemployment rate very high under the Bush administration so U.S. policies allow companies to export many jobs where there is cheap labor.We can create jobs with new technologies,ideas and innovations.People can create new company with invention of a new gadget or get back to the basics of growing vegetables,sell-em,can-em etc. Flea markets create income, the internet can be used to find a demand for a product and fill that need.It is not easy because of rules and regulations but there are people willing  to share business experience. This is still the land of opportunity only sometimes you gotta put long hours and get dirty and sweaty to make something happen.

You can lower gasoline prices by enhancing supply -- e.g. expanding exploration and drilling and refining. You can only reduce unemployment by having an economy that is expanding more rapidly than the population. Luckily the first action will also contribute to the second objective as well.
