the only one that i can think of that is close to it is by the Dave Matthews Band and its called Tim Reynolds

but the lyrics to that say :

OH there's a loneliness inside her

and she'd do anything to fill it in

and though its red blood bleeding from her now

felt like cold blue ice in her heart

when all the colors mixed together to gray

and it breaks her heart

so its close but im not sure if that is the song you are talking about
