  1. Lady Marmalade because they speak a bit of french in it.

"Le chant des partisans" was the underground song or french Resistance - the information work they did enabled to know ALL about german positions, armament, troops etc - and to destroy all the railways mainly the ones from Germany to Normandy - ALL german armoured trains coming for rescue have exploded -

    A part of my family involved in Resistance exploded too - many partisans sung that song before they were executed

  3. Many songs remind me of France but my favorite is Josephine Baker's song "J'au deux amours, mon pays et Paris" because its sentiment, "I have two loves, my homeland and Paris", reflects my own feelings.

    Mainly because I grew up listening to it and it is my most favorite French song... it's beautiful, romantic, and a classic- like France.
