He is a teenager, tenor-bass, and likes uptempo songs. The song should preferably be from a Broadway musical. Nothing too flamboyant--NO LEGALLY BLONDE!

  1. How about "I Can Do That" from A Chorus Line? He could do a fun dance routine with it.

  2. "put on your sunday clothes" from "hello, dolly!"

"purpose" from "avenue q" (overdone, but effective if done well)

"bye, room" from "john & jen"

i'd stay away from anything *too* popular and anything flashy if it can't be done well.  sing strongly in the range that you can, act the h**l out of your song, and aim for getting a callback.

  3. dancing through life - wicked

music of the night (?????) - phantom of the opera

miracle of miracles - fiddler on the roof

  4. if i were a rich man-fiddler on roof

part of NYC-annie(this is slow in the beginning)

the sadder-but-wiser girl for me-the music man(has some dialogue)

  5. "Maria", from West Side Story.
