this is really tricky..some songs that you hear on your ipod or the radio...you'll hear a song you think is easy...but most of the times it turns out to be the most techincal of songs..for example "Need You Tonight" by INXS. Find simple songs to play...like "Every Rose has Its Thorn" by Poison. that song is all chords..(well the acoustic part is) another would be Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple in which you only need any two strings to play the song, but you can practice on the intro to some songs...so good luck and just have fun with your guitar playin...enjoi!

but seriously, learn chords and a little theory about how they work together and every song will make a lot more sense. AC/DC songs are easy to play, i guess Nirvana too except that it's too basic. getting good at guitar takes a lot of practice, hours and hours.
