  1. smoke on the water.

the easiest song in the world.

if you don't play it people will ridicule you.

  2. none are "necessary" but common songs are:

    blackbird by the beatles

stairway to heaven by led zeppelin

    uhh really idkk

  3. american pie

  4. probably any staind song would sound good on it, along with 'everlong' by the foo fighters!

  5. the graduation song...

    lyrics=

    (chorus only)

as we go on, we'll remember all the times we had together and as our lives change from whatever we will still be friends for ever

  6. Oasis....

  7. Dust in the Wind

    Kansas

  8. There's no such thing as "must learn" pieces.  If you ask that, people are going to come in with everything from "Lucky Man" by ELP (which is only really two chords), to "Django's Tiger" or some of that incredibly complex stuff from Segovia.

What songs do you like?  Learn those.

If you're looking for some suggestions, "American Pie" is easy.  So is "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" and both are fairly simple for beginners.  For a little more complex stuff, try "Blackbird" by the Beatles.

  9. hey im 14 and used to play electric in a band (now acoustic though because of sports). i like playing the boxer by simon and garfunkel. i got lotsa other songs that im learning so email me any time for other ideas.

  10. Godzilla by blue oyster cult its easy fun and a cool song

  11. Led Zeppelin...Highway to Heaven.

  12. you and me- life house

    Sweet home alabama

a good place to learn these songs is at a site called 911tabs.com just learn how to read tabs first (it is not that hard)

  13. i say start with smoke on the water, then work up.

i only played for 2 weeks, and i learned star spangled banner and sweet home alamabma, as well as birthday by the beatles.

  14. Umm, try green day, the song "good riddance(time of your life) It always comes up at group events.

Also learn friends in low places by garth brooks.

blister in the sun is a necessity.

  15. you don't HAVE to learn anything lol.

learn songs that you love, songs that you and your friends can enjoy while you play. Classic and current. Some Beatles songs, some current songs like jason mraz or something. Whatever you and your friends are into. Learn some basic chords like A, C, G, F, and D and you will be able to play hundreds of basic songs.

www.ultimate-guitar.com is one of the best sites to get good tabletures.

  16. Ive been playing for awhile,  their are no necessary songs, their are easy songs, their are songs that sound great etc...

the first couple of songs i learned were easy and sounded pretty good (at the time).

    Nirvana- Smells like teen spirit

Pink Floyd- wish you were here

    Sublime- What I got

  17. ohhh i lovelove this song
