I personally have a few:

Life is Beautiful - by Sixx AM

Girl with Golden Eyes - by Sixx Am

Saving Us - by Serj Tankian

they always make me cry because they are very real to me, i am a heroin addict (clean for awhile now) but they just kill me every time.

What about You?

  1. love songs

  2. Pie Jesu

  3. For Good from Wicked, because i sang it at my cello teacher's funeral

  4. Stevie Ray Vaughn's version of Little Wing and Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. They make me think of my step dad who died in 2001. After he sobered up, we had an awesome relationship. Stay straight, it's great.

  5. all the songs that i listen to are emotional may be not to others but to me they are that is why i listen to them , they got different emotions but certainly all are emotional. why would i listen to a song that has no emotion appealing to me?

  6. Go rest high on that mountain

    by Vince Gill

the song is for his brother that passed away

  7. First of all--congratulations for staying clean from heroin!! God bless you.

As for songs that make me cry and why--

"He Stopped Loving Her Today" by George Jones (a country music song about a man who never stopped loving his wife until the day he died). Here are the lyrics (just reading them can make me cry) from  http://www.songlyrics.com:

"He said I'll love you 'til I die

She told him you'll forget in time

As the years went slowly by

She still preyed upon his mind

He kept her picture on his wall

Went half crazy now and then

He still loved her through it all

    Hoping she'd come back again

Kept some letters by his bed

    Dated 1962

    He had underlined in red

    Every single "I love you"

I went to see him just today

Oh but I didn't see no tears

All dressed up to go away

First time I'd seen him smile in years

    (Chorus)

    He stopped loving her today

They placed a wreath upon his door

And soon they'll carry him away

    He stopped loving her today

    (Spoken)

You know she came to see him one last time

Oh and we all wondered if she would

And it kept running through my mind

This time he's over her for good

    (Repeat Chorus)

Another one, found at the same site, is "The Grand Tour" by either Aaron Neville or George Jones:

"Step right up, come on in

If you'd like to take the grand tour

Of the lonely house that once was home sweet home

I have nothing here to sell you

Just some things that I will tell you

Some things I know will chill you to the bone

    Over there, sits the chair

Where she'd bring the paper to me, sit down on my knee and whisper

    "oh, I love you"

    But now she's gone forever

And this old house will never

Be the same without the love that we once knew

Straight ahead, that's the bed, where we'd lie in love together

And Lord knows we had a good thing going here

See her picture on the table, don't it look like she'd be able

Just to touch me and say "good morning dear"

There's her ring, all her things, and her clothes are in the closet

Where she left them when she tore my world apart

As you leave you see the nursery, oh she left me without mercy

Taking nothing but our baby and my heart

Step right up, come on in, come on in."

(written by George Richey, Carmol Taylor, Norris Wilson)

Then some others are "Unchained Melody"--Righteous Brothers; "How Great Thou Art"--Elvis Presley (or anyone, really); "Thanks To Calvary"--The Cathedrals (featuring the late George Younce), and George Y's version of "Suppertime" (a man remembers how his mother--who'd passed away years before-- used to call the family together for their evening meal, and as he lies on his death bed, he hears her voice again saying, "Come on home/it's suppertime."  In this case, of course, "home" refers to Heaven).

  8. The Red Hot Chili Pepper's remake of Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues" I like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but they ruined that song, that was just awful to do that do a Bob Dylan song.

Congratulations on being sober, it's such a hard thing to do and so many people don't know when they need to stop, and then can't when they do, I have immesurable respect for people who do the right things for themselves, please keep it up!

  9. It's cool, we can still be friends - Bright Eyes

So many people relate, and this song is the exact situation i'm in now. My boyfriend and I broke up, but we still do things, just there's no 'love'

  10. when it was me - paula deanda
