I want to play new songs for our Sushi restaurant. Can anyone give me a list of their favorite artists with the title of the song that you would like to be played at a restaurant? But the songs have to fit the mood of the restaurant. Our restaurant is pretty casual/ fancy. Also, do you think it's okay to play Stairway to heaven by Led Zeppelin?

  1. Knockin on Heaven's Door by Bob Dylan

  2. You should look carefully at your customers to understand who they are; you can pretty much figure out, I hope, their age, race… etc.  Pay attention to see if they are mainly professionals, college students or family crowds.  Then you decide in order to please them to get their “Return Patronage/Business”, how your restaurant background music should be played.

People choose to go to a restaurant for its good food and not for certain kind of music!  The music in your restaurant should be pleasant to enlighten the mood of the customers.  I suggest that you use music with instruments only, no specific kind of singers or songs with lyrics.
