What sort flooring should i go for in my living room?

we are in the process of decorating so there is no wallparer at the moment and the setees are brown and we have a mahogony dresser and a dog (random bit my mum said to put lol)

We have laminate flooring, but that's mainly because of the kids.  It's a lot easier to wipe up juice and puke from a solid floor...  If I didn't have kids, I'd have carpet...

Need a little bit more details, what colors are your sofas, tables, walls? What's your overall theme in your place. But without having all that in mind, a nice carpet is always nice, or even a tiled living room can be very nice as well. Goodluck.

Go for a carpet. Much warmer in the winter. And seems to stay cleaner as dust is concealed in it. Laminate floors seem to show all the dirt.

Bamboo... Cheap, durable, good for the environment, and looks cool.
