  1. A hurricane naturally is the most extreme weather event possible.  The tornadic activity is usually to the southeast of the eyewall.   Feeder bands usually spawn some of their own but mostly high winds and heavy rain.  Sustained winds can well in excess of 100mph.

  2. Wikipedia has a really good table that shows what the temps are like throughout the year.

As a native San Antonian, I can only complain about the very high temperatures in the summertime with high humidity.  Sometimes we get flooding once every several years, but it only affects certain areas of the city.

It doesn't really get too cold here.  This past winter I rarely had to wear a heavy coat unless I was going to be outside for more than a few minutes.  I rarely have to run my heater, but air conditioning is a must for most of the year!!!

Once every two or three years in the winter, we get just a little ice on the roads and the whole city pretty much shuts down.  We haven't seen snow here since 1983 or 1984 (I don't remember since I was very young at the time).

If I really think about extremes, the only times I've heard people dying of weather related issues is of dehydration or drowning in a flood, but that is rare.
